Abbott is a leader in the rapidly growing field of molecular diagnostics - the analysis of DNA, RNA and proteins at molecular level. Our instruments and tests are used to detect pathogens and subtle changes in patients' genes and chromosomes that make it possible for specialists to detect diseases earlier and more accurately. In this way, early in the course of a disease deploy appropriate treatment and thereby also improve the outcome.

Abbott's molecular tests give the physician important information to detect and handle a range of infectious and chronic diseases, including cancers of the breast, bladder, HIV, hepatitis and cystic fibrosis. The position involves an overall responsibility for the sales team including one application manager, altogether three persons. You will be a key player within the Nordic Molecular team with an opportunity to influence and to further develop the Nordic market. The position - A key management position with a Nordic responsibility
We are looking for a talented and dedicated leader with the ability to lead and develop the Nordic Molecular team including a sales responsibility for the Swedish market.

To develop the molecular team and create a platform for further business development requires a leader with a strong commitment and an ability to set strategic goals with a clear link to the relevant operational projects. The person in question has to have a strong ability to priorities as the right candidate has to combine the management role with a personal sales responsibility for Sweden.

The role requires a very good communicator with great personal presence. The person we seek must have a strong commercial and strategic expertise to identify and create new opportunities for the molecular business. We value the ability to understand the customer's real needs, identify value and deliver custom solutions. We want you to have a strong drive to achieve high goals and develop the business to new levels. This will requires energy, commitment and an ability to start up and implementation of projects, activities and processes together with the team.

Your main customers will be pathologists, microbiologists, virologists, geneticists and histologists active in both the public and private health care. Candidates outside Stockholm will be home based with an international airport nearby. For candidates within the region of Stockholm an office place will be offered at Abbott in Solna. You will have about 40 hotel nights per year.
You will report to the Regional Director Northern Europe and Nordics.

Qualifications
Solid proven experience of successful leadership and coaching of employees and teams including budget responsibility
 Solid proven sales experience with positive results in the molecular diagnostics field
 Academic education
 Previous experience in procurement processes
 Fluent in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
 Driving license
