Account Manager - Nordic
STARLIMS has in almost 25 years helped hundreds of laboratories, in the public health, environmental, petrochemical, forensic, pharmaceutical, clinical and diagnostic sectors to optimize data accessibility, integrity, defensibility and long-term value.
The unified web-based platform includes award-winning Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), as well as Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) functionality and a Scientific Data Management System (SDMS). Based on experience working with hundreds of labs in multiple disciplines and industries, STARLIMS offers an expansive functionality set right out of the box.

The position - A key position serving the Nordic countries
You will be part of a professional and a dedicated team, currently consisting of three employees based in Sweden who is serving our Nordic customers. The Account Manager (AM) will be held accountable for STARLIMS relationship with decided key stakeholders within the defined geographic territory. The AM has the commercial responsibility of executing a business strategy and plan to meet and exceed the geography’s commercial and financial goals, set by the Management. All implementation of these strategic plans will be managed and orchestrated by the individual. During the sales process the AM will work within expense targets to maximise cartridge utilisation and conversion of new accounts in line with the marketing plan. The AM will also be responsible to target and successfully introduce extensions of existing platform to key target accounts.
As an “Account Manager” your main stakeholders will be found in the public health, environmental, petrochemical, forensic, pharmaceutical, clinical and diagnostic sectors. The location is in Sweden, preferably in the Stockholm area but other locations will be taken into consideration if it is close to an airport. Estimated annual travel (Sweden, Norway, Denmark and possible Iceland and Finland) is 25 percent equal to approximately 50 days.

Primary Objective of Position
Contribute to the achievement of STARLIMS sales and margin goals by driving continued sales and successfully obtaining new customers to augment STARLIMS informatics sales.
 Ideal candidate must be a self-motivated team player with a proven track record in software sales and preferably knowledge of LIMS Laboratory Informatics and web-based technology.
 Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must have excellent time-management skills to work with multiple accounts and be able to meet strict deadlines.
 Must possess strong presentation skills and communicate professionally as a dynamic speaker and in written responses to emails RFPs RFIs and when submitting reports.
 Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
 Organized and analytical must be able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Communicate constructively to management and peers with ideas or any insights to help define new approaches to product enhancements and winning together.
 Must possess suitable commercial skills and experience to negotiate the successful conclusion of customer deals and legal agreements.

Bachelor degree in Chemistry or Clinical lab science or Computer Science or related discipline.
Fluent spoken/written in English and Swedish
Professional experience:
2+ years of experience in informatics sales preferably web-based technologies. Sales training and knowledge of relationship selling preferred.
Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems and laboratory operations is preferred
Must possess suitable commercial skills and experience to negotiate or assist in negotiating the successful conclusion of customer deals and legal agreements.
