The Regional Market Access Manager position
Market Access is an increasingly important area for AbbVie.

AbbVie has an upcoming vacancy in the top priority Västra Götaland region and recruits a Regional Market Access Manager (RMAM) to the Market Access department. The RMAM will have a focus on the prioritized therapeutic areas and products in the AbbVie product portfolio.

The position is field based with home office, preferably in the region Västra Götaland. The RMAM is part of the Market Access department (10 people) and reports to the National Market Access Manager/TeamLeader. The department is led by the Market Access Director who is a member of the Swedish management team.

The RMAMs mission is to secure those important regional MA strategies and operations are implemented in the region for the prioritized therapeutic areas and products. The key challenge for the RMAM is to add value to key regional MA stakeholders, patients and healthcare. It is important to understand the key regional MA stakeholders, patients and healthcare needs to be able to create attractive and relevant value propositions as well as MA projects and activities.

The RMAM position is highly involved in interacting with internal and external stakeholders driving the market access agenda across the regional business.

Key responsibilities Regional Market Access Manager
- Identify and map policy and decision makers and their influencers in county councils and selected University Hospitals.

- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders in county council payer structures and key hospitals in close relationship with in-field team.

- Influence regional payers to achieve prioritization and drug penetration of key products by engaging in Regional Payer structures, Payers Drug Centra, Clinics Budgeting and Drug utilization.

- Overcome barriers to funding by defending product/price/services in drug and HTA reviews, drug lists and hearings

- Develop regional engagement plans for prioritized stakeholder segments.

- Understand the regional convergences and divergences between county councils and pursue regional strategies by coordinating cross-functional resources.

- Monitor changes in the external environment (payer changes, priority setting, budgetary & tendering processes & developments. treatment guidelines) and competitive situation in order to anticipate risks and opportunities for market access and advice Brand Teams, national Market Access Manager and affiliate management team on threats and opportunities

- Demonstrate holistic hospital budget impact

Experience
- Strong track record of regional Healthcare payer and /or governmental agency relationship building – existing network and relations with stakeholders in County Councils, regional payer structures and healthcare in Västra Götaland is a request

- Solid experience from working in the pharmaceutical industry or within healthcare payer/provider or academic institution.

- Candidate has market access or HEOR experience working with hospital management, county council head of clinic, payers or reimbursement /HTA bodies

- Experience from collaboration in cross-functional teams

- Economic or business education is an advantage
