The Nordic Biopharma and Oncology team
The Nordic Biopharma and Oncology team has been very successful in their efforts establishing Sandoz in the market place. There are currently about fifteen people in the Nordic team covering several different functions, primarily within marketing, sales and medical affairs. The team is led by Joachim Handin, Head Biopharma Nordic. There are also other accessible resources and functions within Sandoz Nordic and Novartis Nordic.
Sandoz has a promising product portfolio and pipeline for the future and will add new resources to continue the development in the Nordic.

The introduction of Biosimilars totally changes the market place for biopharmaceuticals. Biosimilars set new perspectives, challenges and opportunities for both healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry. This new market context and environment create a new situation for Sandoz where pricing needs to be combined with solid value propositions based on medical, patient, financial and other needs. For this Sandoz is required to add new market access resourses.

The new Nordic Market Access Manager will add relevant governmental affairs, public affairs, health economics, pricing and reimbursement competency to build a platform for optimal market access in the Nordic market delivering long term sales and profit together with the Nordic Biopharma team. Sandoz is currently growing substantially within Market access employing 16 people through out Europe.
The Nordic Market Access Manager will be responsible for setting up and establish the Sandoz Biopharma market access function in the Nordics in close collaboration with the global Sandoz market access team, the local Novartis market access teams and the Nordic Biopharma team.

We are now recruiting a new Nordic Market Access Manager to the Nordic Biopharma and Oncology team. The role covers all the Nordic markets, but the main focus for the position is Sweden, where the need for national and regional market access expertise is huge.

Purpose of the job
The Nordic Market Access Manager is responsible for managing all activities with internal and external stakeholders in the fields of governmental affairs, public affairs, health economics, pricing and reimbursement. Manages day to day activities concerning legislation and regulation to shape the external environment and influence decisions by policy makers and lawmakers to benefit customers, patients and the business. Provides health economics and reimbursement market analysis as appropriate for new business development opportunities.

The key challenge for the Nordic Market Access Manager is to add value to key market access stakeholders and healthcare. It is important to understand the key market access stakeholders, and healthcare needs to be able to create attractive and relevant value propositions.

The Nordic Market Access Manager position is highly involved in interacting with internal and external stakeholders driving the market access agenda across the business.

Profile – Nordic Market Access Manager Biopharma

Qualifications and experience
· University degree in medicine, pharmacy, business admin., health economics or other relevant fields.
· Solid working experience from the pharmaceutical environment, preferably from a similar position (e.g. Market Access, External and/or Public affairs, Key Account Management)
· Experience from medical, sales, marketing (preferably more than 1 department)
· Excellent knowledge about the Nordic health care system (including the pricing/reimbursement system)
· Strong track record and network of national and regional Healthcare payer and /or governmental agency relationship building
· Strong track record on securing funding and access in the regions
· Thorough knowledge within health economics
· Knowledge in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and regional mini-HTAs is an big advantage
· Experience from several different therapeutic areas preferred
· Leadership/coaching experience preferred
· Fluent in English and a Nordic language
· PC skills
· Willing to travel domestically and internationally, primarily in the Nordics
· Experience from Nordic collaborations and knowledge about the Nordic healthcare environment is an advantage
· Experience from collaboration in cross-functional teams
