Eisai has a pipeline of products in development for treating cancer and has a strong focus to establish a long-term position in the area of Oncology. The company is now 9 years into launching their first product in the area of Oncology and has two products on the market; Halaven™ (eribulin) is a first-in-class treatment for advanced or metastatic breast cancer and Lenvima multi-targeted receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor for thyroid cancer, kidney cancer and hepatocellar Carcinoma. Eisai has a very interesting future pipeline in Oncology. We are looking for an experienced professional with a successful performance in a scientific communication role/medical affairs role in the area of Oncology with previous experience working with medical strategies.�

Main purpose of the job
1) Close collaboration with Medical Director, MSL, Marketing, Sales and Market Access team to jointly produce and execute strategic plans for current and future indications within current portfolio
2) Manage, coach and engage Nordic OBG MSL/s
3) Exchange of scientific data and sharing clinical information with internal stakeholders in the Nordics and the EMEA team as well as with external stakeholders
4) Establish solid relationships among regional KOLs and other key stakeholders
5) You will engage in the exchange of scientific data and sharing clinical information on a peer-to-peer basis
6) Alignment with Nordic Medical Director for key governance requirements.

Qualifications and education required

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Pharmacology or Bio-medical sciences. PhD or Medical degree is advantageous
• Oncology experience essential
• Intimate knowledge of regional therapy infrastructure including key opinion leaders, major centres, market access and other related activities
• Adequate clinical knowledge is essential
• Extended experience in industry is mandatory
• Experience working with strategic questions
• Experience from a management position is an advantage (or motivated and skilled to take on a leadership assignment)
• Some experience of clinical development, clinical operations, biostatistics, safety and regulatory affairs is desirable.

• Fast learner – You will be able to familiarise yourself with new therapeutic areas and compounds quickly

• Possess a strong sense of responsibility and have a good track record of working independently and meeting strict deadlines

• Diplomatic. Able to deal with a range of personalities to achieve objectives.

Language skills and other
Fluent in English and at least one Scandinavian language. Good understanding and ability to communicate in other Nordic countries.
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).
Clean and valid driver’s licence.
