Four people are responsible for the Swedish market. Our office in Bromma has our Nordic CEO, marketing assistant and registration, quality and logistics managers. Tillotts was started in London in the 1950s, as a family-owned pharmacy under the name Tillotts J.B. Tillott Ltd Chemists. The business gradually expanded with wholesale operations and eventually the import of medicines, especially gastric ulcer treatments.

During the 1960s, after the company was transformed into "Tillott's Laboratories Ltd", Tillott became the market leader in gastric ulcer treatment in the United Kingdom. The company acquired the global rights to Asacol® and Colpermin®, two patent-protected products for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and IBS, respectively.

During the 1980s, the head office was moved to Switzerland, and is still there, in the Rheinfelden.
In total, Tillott's Pharma has over 300 employees in Switzerland and abroad. We are dedicated to the development, in / out licensing and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products in gastroenterology. We successfully market our own products as well as licensed products in over 65 countries through our subsidiaries and a network of carefully selected licensing and marketing partners. Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Nordic

The position
This Nordic MSL position will be responsible for newly acquired product Dificlir® (fidaxomicin) allowing Tillotts to provide a first-line treatment option to patients suffering from CDI, a serious and sometimes life-threatening infection of the colon. Dificlir® is a narrow-spectrum macrocyclic anti-bacterial agent available as film-coated tablets. It is indicated for the treatment of Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI), also known as C. difficile-associated diarrhoea (CDAD) in adults and paediatric patients with a body weight of at least 12.5 kg. CDI is an infection caused by the toxins of the spore-forming bacterium Clostridioides difficile, estimated to affect more than one hundred thousand people in Europe per year.

• As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will act on behalf of the medical affairs department, establishing professional relationships with various stakeholders within the area of gastroenterology / inflammatory bowel disease.
• You will engage in the exchange of scientific data and sharing clinical information on a peer-to-peer basis. You are responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to health care customers and to internal business partners as required by business needs.
• Your scientific qualifications will enable you to establish solid relationships among regional stakeholders.

The position reports to the Senior Medical Manager Anti-Infectives located at the headquarter in Rheinfelden Switzerland and with a dotted line to the Nordic Managing Director.

The MSL role is a broad-based role in close collaboration with Healthcare. The MSL will be a key player in the team for the development and success of the above-mentioned focus areas in the Nordics with a devoted responsibility for DIFICLIR® (fidaxomicin), a narrow-spectrum macrocyclic anti-bacterial agent.

The right candidate will be part of an experienced and professional team with a great spirit. The MSL will report to the headquarter in Switzerland (dotted line to the Nordic Managing Director) but will also receive support from the Nordic organisation.

Main duties and responsibilities
• Health Care Professional (HCP) interaction and development. This will include developing relationships with various HCPs and providing them with credible, fair balanced, scientific information about TP products and TP product developments.
• The MSL will be a major source of balanced medical information for HCPs and will be capable of issues management and addressing questions about safety and use of TP products based on available scientific data.
• The MSL will be expected to be an expert on our products and their therapeutic areas. This will involve regular and extensive reviews of the literature, developing presentations and assisting with publications and medical communications.
• Participation in scientific meetings will be essential, and the MSL will attend appropriate scientific congresses and conferences.
• The MSL will play a critical role in internal training and communication with the Medical Team the franchise team and territory managers.
• Knowledge sharing and education both internally and externally will be a key area of responsibility.
• The MSL will be responsible for assisting the Medical team in the identification of potential research projects and speakers.
• The MSL will work across the organisation as required to assist and/or lead in interactions with HCPs across different geographies and be comfortable working in a matrix organisation

Territorial responsibility
You will have a territorial responsibility for the Nordic countries with a base at Tillotts Pharma’s office in Bromma, Stockholm.

Working relationships
Reporting to Senior Medical Manager Anti-Infectives at Tillotts Pharma’s headquarter in Rheinfelden Switzerland with a dotted line to the Managing Director for the Nordic markets. You will have a close interaction and close collaboration both with the medical team at the headquarter as well as with the Nordic team.
