The Position
Abbott is continuously developing the way we work and perform in the diagnostics market place. In order to improve the performance Abbott is currently focusing on implementing several value adding processes that supports the company employees in their daily work to be more business effective. In the long term this effort will result in higher sales and profit for the diagnostics division.
The Business Excellence Manager (BEx Manager) is a new strategic position in Abbott Diagnostics Nordic. The BEx Manager is reporting to the General Manager and is a member of the Nordic Abbott Diagnostics Management team.

Primary Job Function
• The BEx Manager is responsible for the development and execution of Value Creation / Profit Assurance and other programs and processes that enable achievement of Area; Region and country level sales and margin plans. This will be done by driving programs and processes in a standardized manner that institutionalizes and shares best practices.

• The successful BEx Manager will create a culture that supports data-driven decision making; execution and ongoing improvement

• The successful BEx Manager will coordinate program development and implementation across various groups such as Sales; Service; Marketing; Contract and Pricing / Tendering; and others.

• The successful BEx Manager will effectively work with Area and Global resources to ensure consistency in development of programs; execution; and monitoring progress.

Candidate profile
• BSc in Life Science or Economy. MBA a plus.
• Has an in-depth understanding of the commercial processes within hospitals and tender regions.
• Experience from a process oriented company
• Sales or Sales Management experience is an advantage (own experience from CRM system)
• Excellent Scandinavian language skills (Swedish, Norwegian or Danish). Speaks fluent English with regard to commercial terminology - is able to present in English language to senior management internally and externally.
• Previous experience in a commercial health business environment.
• High caliber individual - ambitious, driven to achieve excellent standards and to continually seek to improve.
• Confident communicator – able to develop good relationships easily with the credibility to
challenge management
• Strong influencer and collaborative leader – creating internal understanding, buy in and acceptance for the value adding processes
• Excellent understanding of processes and the value using them
• Solid ability to plan, start up, carry out and finalize projects
• Passionate about business development and the processes that supports it.
