Genzyme has a representation in all Nordic countries since 2002. Genzyme is involved in several medical research projects in hospitals all over the Nordics for both new indications for approved products, as well as for new pharmaceuticals in clinical development. Medical Advisor MS

Position: Medical Advisor MS, Sweden

Reports to: Associate Medical Director MS NoBa (location: Stockholm)

Location: Stockholm area (Office based in Genzyme/Sanofi Headquarters)

In Sweden there are about 17 500 people suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). The MS therapeutic field is a high priority disease for patients, health care, medical community, researchers and the pharmaceutical industry. As a consequence there are extensive resources invested in the MS field creating an environment of great opportunities for medical treatment development.

Genzyme is a key player in MS currently offering two new promising pharmaceuticals for the treatment of the severe disease. The new products give healthcare and patients new attractive treatment alternatives. This is a valued opportunity for the new Medical Advisor to continue to build and develop Genzyme´s medical position within MS in Sweden.

The Medical Advisor will provide medical leadership and product support across Genzyme´s MS product portfolio aligned with defined business opportunities and challenges.

The Medical Advisor is part of the Genzyme Nordic MS organization and will focus on the Swedish market for medical affairs and other medical responsibilities. The role includes defined individual responsibilities and duties as well as extensive cross functional collaboration with medical colleagues, marketing, sales, clinical, medical information and pharmacovigilance. The Nordic medical team for MS is adding substantial competencies and resources to cover the need for top quality medical affairs expertise. The Medical Advisor will also be the Swedish link to the Genzyme global and European MS medical management.

We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated Medical Doctor (MD) with high energy and the ability and drive to develop, accomplish and follow up on different medical projects and tasks. The scope for the role is broad and require an interest for working with many different tasks and duties.

We value solid relation building skills, collaboration skills, project management skills as well as excellent presentation skills for the Medical Advisor role.

Competency profile

Essential skills and experience
· Educational level as Medical Doctor (MD), preferably with appropriate specialist training
· Previous experience from Pharma industry is an advantage
· Previous experience and knowledge within neurology and the MS field is an advantage
· English written and oral fluently
· Willing to travel in Sweden on a regular basis and abroad infrequently
