The Application Specialist Nordics position
ZEISS has a strong position in the Microsurgery market offering high quality products and solutions to healthcare and dental care in both the private and public sector.

In Microsurgery, the company provides high quality visualization solutions (Microscopes) for minimally invasive surgical treatments.

ZEISS broad and high-quality Microsurgery portfolio offers Microscopes in the following therapeutic areas; Neurosurgery, Plastic- and Reconstructive surgery, Spine surgery, Ear-, Nose and Throat surgery and Dentistry.

ZEISS is currently recruiting an Application Specialist Microsurgery (MCS) Nordics. This is a new key position with focus on product demonstration, technical support, customer consultancy, customer training and customer service for the MCS products and services in the Nordics.

The Application Specialist MCS Nordics will become the ZEISS Nordic expert on the MCS product portfolio. The role will be responsible for product demonstration, technical support, customer consultancy, customer training and customer service in the Nordics for the key customers in defined healthcare areas of surgery.

The Application Specialist MCS Nordics reports to the Director Nordics, Sales Microsurgery (MCS). The role has a close relationship and collaboration with different colleagues and functions within ZEISS Nordic. Important internal ZEISS partners are among others, Regional Sales Managers, Field Service Engineers and Customer service.

The Application Specialist MCS Nordics will have a continuous contact with other relevant stakeholders (Product Managers and Application Managers) at ZEISS Germany (Oberkochen).

With the role follows a solid introduction program and a valid product education.

Main purpose of the job and key objectives
· Position ZEISS as a perceived premium brand and leader within MCS
· Increase customer satisfaction and customer loyalty
· Develop the customer product knowledge and optimize product usage (technical functions and clinical usability)
· Improve long-term sales performance for MCS Nordic
· Become a valued internal collaboration partner for primarily Regional Sales Managers and Field Service Engineers at ZEISS Nordic.

Qualifications, experience and competency profile
We are looking for an Application Specialist MCS Nordics with the ability to deliver high class clinical expertise, clinical- & technical support, product trainings, customer support, customer relations and customer service leading to an improved customer satisfaction and customer loyalty within Microsurgery.

The position is field based with home office and access to the ZEISS Nordic offices. The role requires extensive travelling the the Nordics as well as fluent Scandinavian (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian) and English. Competency in Finnish is an advantage.

Experience, skills and competencies

· Solid experience from clinical surgery or other relevant clinical nursing background
· Experience from a similar role, for instance as Application specialist, Product specialist or Technical specialist is an advantage
· Excellent customer facing, relation building and interpersonal skills
· High customer service orientation – available, fast, high quality and customized customer service
· Superior product knowledge, technology insight and expertise
· Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
· High energy and positive mindset
· High ability in organizing the working environment and oneself
· Strong ability to educate, present and communicate with customers
· Readiness to travel on a frequent basis within Nordic countries.

Education and knowledge
University degree in Nursing or other adequate experience
Fluent spoken/written Scandinavian and English (Finnish is an advantage)
PC Literate/MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Drivers license
