Atlas Antibodies AB has a very special story. The company was founded in 2006 as a start-up from the prestigious Human Protein Atlas project. The idea of the researchers was to make the unique antibodies developed in the project available to fellow researchers worldwide. Fifteen years later, the company has successfully launched more than 60,000 products for protein research. These reagents include highly validated antibodies, antigens, and protein quantification standards for mass spectrometry, constituting a unique portfolio of high-end proteomics tools, relevant for basic and clinical research in important areas such as cancer research and neuroscience.

The company offers four product lines: Triple A Polyclonals™, PrecisA Monoclonals™, PrEST Antigens and QPrEST™ protein standards.

Atlas Antibodies has experienced significant growth over the years and currently consists of approximately 70 employees. Research Scientist Pathology, Atlas Antibodies

The Research Scientist Pathology role
This research scientist position is lab-based applying scientific skills primarily for protein analysis in both histology and pathology. This role connects to our strategic activity of enabling a subset of our antibodies for diagnostic use.

The profile
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in IHC covering several types of protein targets, tissues, organs and species, with experience in automated immunohistochemistry using Ventana Discovery systems, Dako Omis Autostainers and/or Leica Bond. Additionally, a sound knowledge of antibody validation methods, image analysis, IHC multiplexing and in situ hybridization. The person will also contribute to the development of the IHC application with focus on pathology with ideas and strategic thinking. The candidate will work independently both at the lab and when planning and summarizing experiments.
