Key Account Manager PSS

The position as KAM for PSS is an important role with a total business responsibility in the Nordic region. Focus is on Hillrom new range of connected, smart beds for hospital and home care. The role implies both a sales responsibility in Sweden, and a role to support distributors in the other Nordic countries to achieve their sales targets. Hence, this is an opportunity for someone to step up and take on a business responsibility in a larger geographical territory and be in the forefront of technical development and digitalization.

Job summary

• The KAM is responsible for internal and external training and support of defined product segments and geographies.

• The KAM is also responsible for selling the product mix in line with company strategy, to gain maximum profit in everything sold.

• The KAM is responsible for gaining market share for capital products in accordance with the overall margin strategy.

• The KAM must endeavor to identify new business opportunities and build relationships and a strong business base in which to enhance Hillrom’s reputation in the marketplace.

• The KAM is responsible for providing all the necessary forecasting information and maintaining strict monitoring of such information in the CSM tool, which details project, product, revenue and timings.

• The KAM is responsible for after sales and business development in the region regarding Hillrom products.

Essential duties & Responsibilities

• To manage business in Sweden and provide support to distributors in the Nordic Region.

• Develop new business within designated accounts, customers, and geographies.

• Focus on profitability, revenue growth against plan, maintaining costs and strategic company objectives.

• Achieves the yearly regional Business Plan in association with the Sales Manager, to meet challenging (Sales etc) targets in the Hillrom division.

• Provide regular forecast information.

• Knows and analyses market size, competitive market landscape and other information from all sources and develops local product strategies to improve sales, decrease cost levels and increase market share for the defined segment in the Nordics.

• Identifies business opportunities in the sales area, develops new business through direct sales activity.

• Meets and exceeds targets for revenue and profitability product mix.

• Ensures the implementation of Patient Handling/ Hillrom products promotional/sales programs in conjunction with marketing communication, education, clinical and training, practice enhancement.

• Identifies other Hillrom opportunities in existing accounts.

• Builds strong and lasting relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process to enhance the Hillrom Brand and Image and to maximize the success of concept selling.

• Liaises with the Business Operations Manager and local technical and service teams with regards to maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Liaises with other company personnel to maximize business potential of accounts.

• Responsible for product training in defined segment in the Nordics.

Reporting structure & Key interfaces

The KAM PSS reports to Senior Sales Manager and have no direct reports. Other important interfaces are Commercial Excellence for public tenders, Customer Orders in France, Service hub for rental deals, and Distributors in Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5-8 years of successful commercial experience. Medical device an advantage.

• Proven ability of develop and implement key customer engagement activities.

• Strong costumer orientation with the ability to execute results with a sense of urgency and proactivity.

• High energy with well-developed relationship building skills.

• Effective collaboration skills and the ability to leverage resources, information and tools to accomplish objectives.

• Structured and analytical approach when solving complex business issues.

• Strong business acumen and analytical skills.

• High focus on driving business results with integrity without losing sight of customer needs.
