Account Manager Southern Sweden and Norway

Meso Scale Discovery (MSD®) develops and markets solutions for multiplex biological assays, including assays for biomarkers, cytokines and phosphoproteins that help scientists and pharmaceutical companies make research decisions more quickly and confidently.

MSD is looking for an Account Manager Southern Sweden and Norway to join the Nordic team, and with own sales- and customers responsibility in the region. The Account Manager will report to Regional Sales Director in Denmark. The position is field-based and the customers are Pharmaceutical Accounts, Biotech companies, Academics and CRO´s in southern Sweden and Norway. Appropriate home district is southwest Sweden.


We are looking for a person with experience from successfully selling products within Life Science,
preferable in the pharmaceutical/biotech/immunoassay fields. Excellent communication and social
skills, and proven ability to establish contacts and maintain good long-term relationship with
customers are also important in this role.

Qualifications and experiences
• Academic Degree within the Life Science field or experience from the area
• Proven track record of sales performance in a customer-facing role within Life Science
• Strong, industry-related contacts within the designated territory
• A solid understanding of the Pharma/Biotech industry and the related academic and research
• Fluent in Swedish and English, oral and written
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Driving license
• Industrial and/or academic sales experience in a particular geographic area focusing on
• Proven sales record with CapEx or major consumables sales experience
• Knowledge and experience working in the field of high technology capital instruments
• Extensive knowledge in protein chemistry, protein discovery, drug discovery processes

• Demonstrated ability to expand industrial business within a particular geographic area
• Strong and motivated field sales orientation
• Influencing capabilities; high degree of negotiation capabilities
• A demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and relationship management
• Competitive to win, resilient to challenges, maintaining a positive can do attitude to achieve
