Position Overview

The role of the Nordic ILD-PH MSL is to reactively and proactively support the PH/PAH business within the Special Care Business unit and the prioritized products from a medical perspective. Reactively by answering unsolicited medical inquiries and requests for access to products, medical support and education. Proactively by knowing your medical market, customers and KOLs, the linked medical challenges and opportunities and by timely planning of activities accordingly. The backbone for the planning is the yearly update of the medical plan.


Tasks

● The MSL is responsible for the yearly update (in august) of the coming year’s medical plan.
● Plan, Manage and execute activities/initiatives described in medical plan
● Achieve the communication of medical and educational objectives set for the assigned products/indications, within the framework of NIC’s Nordic strategy and as detailed in the medical plan
● Develop, maintain and support professional relationships with internal and external customers (e.g., Key Thought Leaders [KTL], Health Care Professionals [HCPs], and Formulary Decision Makers
● Facilitate informational, educational, and research activities for physicians and ancillary healthcare professionals regarding NIC’s current and pipeline therapies
● Ensure that the scientific and technical needs of Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and commercial colleagues are identified and met working closely with other NIC personnel with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Tech Support and Reg/QA department

Profile

SKILLS:
Demonstrates scientific acumen and sound medical judgment which provides value to NIC and leads to sustainable relationships with HCPs
● Maintains highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
● Demonstrates an ability to build and maintain a strong network of effective scientific relationships with stakeholders and maintain an understanding for HCPs, to achieve trusted advisor status
● Is an engaging presenter/trainer, impactful and memorable, having gravitas with medics and non-medics alike and strong communication, networking and stakeholder skills
● Ideally proven experience and successful track record as an MSL/medical advisor or similar as a medical department professional in a previous company
● Working knowledge of the relevant Code of Practice

Qualifications:
● Biomedical, Scientific University education ideally to post-graduate degree level -e.g. MSc, PhD, MD, PharmD
● Medical/paramedical Practice or Research career (hospital and/or hospital related, university research, pharmaceutical industry research or medical affairs)
● Language: Expert/fluent communicator in their local language and excellent knowledge of written and spoken scientific English
