Groundbreaking technology for better cancer care
C-RAD develops surface-guided imaging solutions for radiation therapy to allow highly accurate dose delivery to the tumor, and at the same time, to protect healthy tissue from unwanted exposure. Using high-speed 3D cameras, C-RAD supports the initial patient setup process and monitors the patient's motion during treatment to ensure high confidence, an efficient workflow, and improved accuracy. C-RAD was founded in 2004 by researchers from Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska Hospital in Solna, researchers from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and people with long industrial experience of radiation therapy. Technical Writer
C-RAD is looking to expand the Research and Development team based in Uppsala, with a Technical Writer.
It´s a possibility to contribute to C-RAD’s mission to help cure more cancer patients and improve their quality of life, no matter where they live. This is a key position in an innovative, expanding Swedish Life Science company with headquarter in central Uppsala, and with a great team spirit!
As a Technical Writer you will cooperate and work closely with the R&D team and with other functions within the organization, with the main task to create and update user manuals and technical documentations to be used mainly by the installation engineers and the hospital personnel.
The Technical Writer will report to the R&D Manager. The role is a permanent contract full-time.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a person with an interest in technology and in writing, and a person that wants to work for a company improving the healthcare within radiation therapy.
Qualifications and experience
• Relevant education, likely at the university level with a technical focus, e.g., MSc in Engineering
•3 years’ working experience in engineering related tasks
•Fluent in English and Swedish (both verbally and in writing)
•Good proficiency in Word
•A valid work permit for Sweden
It is preferable if you also have:
• Experience of writing structured technical information
•Experience of Simplified Technical English (STE)
Key competencies and personal characteristics
• The ability to understand and communicate advanced technology
•Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and easily adapt what you write depending on the audience
•Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
•Excellent planning and organizational skills
