Proposal Specialist

As a vital member of Pharmetheus' Business Development Office, the Proposal Specialist plays a key role in crafting comprehensive client proposals. Collaborating closely with Project Managers, Project Portfolio Team Leaders, and Contract Managers, the PS ensures that proposals accurately reflect client needs and project plans.

This is a full-time position with flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely. You can work either at our head office in Uppsala, at one of our European offices (Basel, Paris or Utrecht) or from home in a home office somewhere in Europe. The Proposal Specialist reports to the Business Development Manager – Proposal Strategy, and is expected to contribute actively to Pharmetheus culture of continuous improvement and ethical business practices.



Main duties & responsibilities

• Proposal Management
o Review and update detailed project plan documents. Translate these plans into strong, professional, clear, and concise client proposals that meet the client's requirements and company standards

o Coordinate proposal governance, including handling input from different stakeholders and sign-off, with focus on quality and timely delivery

• Proposal tool and information management
o Efficiently manage the proposal database and client information, including rates and specific conditions. Oversee the proposal text database and contribute to the development of our proposal creation tool, PmPro

• Continuous improvement
o Actively engage in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of our proposals and the proposal management process.

• Risk/opportunity management
o Careful monitoring and reporting on the progress of the proposal, identifying, and addressing risks and opportunities and informing stakeholders

• Other responsibilities, when requested
o Provide support in strategic, operational, or other areas pertinent to Pharmetheus’ business needs.


Profile

Qualifications and experiences
• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Business, Science, or equivalent
• Proven experience in proposal management, preferably in a knowledge-intensive life science consultancy setting
• Fluent in Business English, both spoken and written
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
• Proficient in creating clear, persuasive written content
• Experience from the Life Science industry is an advantage
• Knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken, is an advantage
