The position as Senior Project Manager


About the job

As Senior Project Manager, you will have the responsibility of leading and driving projects within New Product development from early concepting to production and successful release to market.

Your overall responsibility will be to scope, plan and execute across all project phases and functions. You will be working closely together with a highly competent cross functional team. Your role is to shape the project objectives, ensure the necessary project organization and structures, set the direction, and drive your projects through execution according to our stage gate model.

In order to be successful in this role, it is vital that you possess both a solid technical background and experience within project management, device development and proven track record of design transfer to manufacturing and/or product lifecycle management.

We are looking for a strong and knowledgeable project manager who can maneuver in a mid-size organization where you have to engage on multiple levels in the organization as well as with external stakeholders such as suppliers and CMOs.

At BONESUPPORT they value personal skills as much as professional qualifications, and in this role, we are looking for a reliable, business oriented and self-motivated person with excellent communication skills verbally and written. You need to be flexible and able to adjust to current conditions and have strong prioritization and organizational skills.

You will be located at BONESUPPORT headquarters in Lund and report to the Director Development & Engineering, Head of Program Office.


Job responsibilities

• Lead the development of overall project scope and execution strategy
• Be responsible for the financial management of the project be leading the development of cost estimate for funding requests
• Ensure deliveries complying to medical, regulatory and internal quality requirements
• Project reporting and milestone reviews according to our quality management system
• Pro-active stakeholder management – both internally and to external partners or subcontractors
• Collaborate with the line managers of the project participants regarding planning of resources
• Ensure MDR and FDA compliance together with Regulatory Affairs and Quality Management.


Education, experience and qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. engineering degree or similar technical background
• Extensive experience in management of complex product development projects
• Experience from medical device development and medical device standards from the different phases of development projects (from early medical device innovation, through design control, establishing a manufacturing setup and securing successful launch in to target markets)
• Experience from working with cross-functional and global teams
• Fluency in English (spoken/written)
• Experienced user of MS Office package
