Business Unit Director Diabetes/CV
The Diabetes & Cardiovascular Business unit is the largest within Sanofi with a yearly turnover of +300 MSEK and approximately 30 employees within sales and marketing. The Business Unit has historically a very low personnel turnover and constantly high ratings on internal employee surveys.

Important products in the current Business Unit product portfolio are Lantus, Apidra and Insuman (Diabetes) and Multaq (Atrial Fibrillation) among others. There are a couple of upcoming high potential products in the pipeline to be introduced in the market place in the near future. These products are top priority for Sanofi and a main focus for the new Business Unit Director (BUD).

The BUD will be responsible for the top priority launches and other prioritized challenges in the Business Unit. That includes responsibility for strategic planning as well as business operations.

We are looking for a strong and engaged leader with the ability to create motivation, creativity, engagement and dedication for the team. The expected deliverables are business development and results beyond expectations.

The BUD reports to the Country Manager Sweden and is a member of the Swedish Management team. The BUD will lead the prioritized Brand teams in Sweden and have several strategic relations in the Sanofi Nordic & Baltic (NOBA) region.

§ Overall responsibility for P&L and personnel within the Business Unit
§ Build, lead, motivate, develop, empower and follow up on the people in the Business Unit team
§ The BUD is responsible for the definition and the achievement of the financial objectives (sales, profitability) of the Business Unit.
§ Ensures the product launch successes and product life cycles and portfolio optimization in line with the defined business strategy and plans.
§ Optimizes cross-functional support needs in the organization, ensures effective coordination between direct reports, especially sales, marketing, market access and medical teams.
§ Challenges appropriate marketing systems and procedures to ensure efficient operations and appropriate control, based on quality performance and commitment to deliver on time.
§ Arbitrates local medico-marketing & sales investments, according to product priorities.
§ Structures and develops a dynamic marketing & sales team for the Business Unit through an effective recruitment and selection process and communication.
