Humira – a great treatment for patient suffering from severe diseases
AbbVie is the company behind Humira, the world's (and Sweden's) leading pharmaceutical product with sales of more than $10BN annually. Humira is a treatment for chronic immune mediated inflammatory diseases within Rheumatology, Gastroenterology and Dermatology. Within Dermatology and psoriasis care, Humira is leading the market for biologic treatments, aiming at helping to improve the standard of care. AbbVie is now looking for an experienced Brand Manager, responsible for the psoriasis indication.

Our new Brand Manager will be a key player in the Humira dermatology team taking on the challenge and opportunity to further develop Humira in the psoriasis market. The objective is to expand the market for biological treatment of severe psoriasis with Humira.

The Brand Manager Psoriasis position
Reporting to the Business Unit Manager for Dermatology in Sweden, the Brand Manager is a cornerstone in the cross-functional Brand Team, responsible for marketing and brand management in a team that works hard to improve access to biologic psoriasis treatments while simultaneously protecting Humira’s market leadership position. The Brand Manager is also, together with the Business Unit Manager, heading the brand planning process and responsible for analyzing the market landscape, mapping of customers and the market environment, the collection of patient insights and the development of a Patient Journey that will serve as one of the fundaments for the Brand Strategy.

The Brand Manager will also, alone or in collaboration with other members of the Brand Team, lead disease awareness and patient support activities, head the evolution of commercial campaigns, advertising and marketing material, as well as various other marketing efforts such as events, congresses and strategic health initiatives. The role requires a demonstrated ability to constructively interact and collaborate with internal (both Swedish and Global colleagues) and external (physicians, patients and other stakeholders).

• Champions patient empathy within the Brand Team/Marketing function, leading and embracing the need for a patient-centric approach while maintaining up-to-date insights for all customer and stakeholder types
• Strong customer-focus, responding proactively to changes in environment and customer needs. High ability to engage in a scientific/medical dialogue with customers.
• Demonstrates strategic thinking and oversees management of marketing-led initiatives, projects and execution which includes promotional mix and cross channel thinking
• Demonstrates strategic and tactical planning skills and prioritizes decisions and activities to ensure efficient use of resources, addresses critical issues impacting the Brand
• Effectively communicates influences and negotiates with all relevant external/internal stakeholders. Strong presentation skills.
• Develops and nurtures innovation/ lateral thinking, able to identify the most appropriate solutions to complex problems
• Proactively addresses issues/proposals that impact product performance: is highly accountable and takes responsibility for performance monitoring
• Ambitious with a high capacity and entrepreneurial spirit

• Academic degree is required
• Science/Medical experience is a plus
• Experience from working with specialty pharma, knowledge in industry business, policies and procedures. Experience from Dermatology and/or psoriasis care is a plus.
• Marketing experience, ideally a diverse blend of healthcare and other industries (consumer, media, digital etc.)
• Proven ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders
• Knowledge in financial processes & business acumen
• Knowledge about the healthcare system and environment
• Fluent in Swedish and in English.

Must be available to travel within Sweden and internationally about 15% of the time. Driving license is required.
