Position: Field Product Manager Rare Diseases (RD) Sweden

Reports to: Business Unit Leader Rare Diseases Sweden (location: Genzyme/Sanofi headquarters in Stockholm)

Location: Field based in Sweden with good access to an airport with good national connections Prio 1: Stockholm/Mälardalen; Prio 2: Göteborg/Skåne. Access to working desk/meeting fascilities at Genzyme/Sanofi office in Stockholm.

Genzyme is a leader on the market for Rare Diseases in Sweden. The company has an attractive product portfolio and substantial resources (in Sweden and the Nordic/Baltic/Poland cluster) that offers patient and healthcare added value treating severe and rare diseases in different areas.

In Sweden Genzyme is focusing on the following products within the Rare Diseases Business Unit;

· Fabrazyme – Fabry disease
· Cerezyme – Gauchers disease (infusion therapy)
· Cerdelga – Gauchers disease (new oral treatment)
· Myozyme – Pompe disease
· Adurazyme - the Hurler and Hurler-Scheie forms of Mucopolysaccharidosis I (MPS I)

The Genzyme organization in Sweden has currently approximately 15 people focused on Medical affairs, Marketing, Market Access and Business operations in the two Business Units (MS & RD). The Swedish Business Unit rare Diseases is led by the Business Unit Leader and consist of three Field Product Managers focused on the Rare Diseases product portfolio. In addition there are specialist resources within Medical affairs, Brand management, Regulatory affairs, Marketing assistant, Market Access and other key functions in Sweden and the Genzyme Nordic/Baltic/Poland cluster matrix. There are also relevant Rare Diseases resources available in the Genzyme European and Global headquarters.

We are looking for a Field Product Manager that is highly engaged in the mission of helping patients and healthcare with rare diseases to a better life adding awareness, knowledge, medical solutions, training and service. The position requires solid clinical sales experience with excellent performance built on high energy, customer relations, knowledge, collaboration, service and project management skills.
The scope for the role is broad and require an interest for working with many different tasks and duties. The reward is the feeling of really adding significant value to patients with severe diseases and to related healthcare personnel.

Purpose of the Role
The Field Product Manager Rare Diseases, Sweden, is responsible for penetrating existing and new markets and accounts to meet business goals by educating physicians and healthcare professionals on a portfolio of rare disease products (FABRAZYME®, CEREZYME®, CERDELGA®, MYOZYME® and ALDURAZYME®).
Purpose of the job is to maximise existing and new sales opportunities by creating effective marketing strategy and efficient activities in the rare disease area.
The overall objective is a mutual responsibility to build the overall rare diseases product portfolio together with the rare diseases team.
The new Field Product Manager will also attain the main responsibility for the products Myozyme and Aldurazyme in Sweden (for more information about the products see appendix).
Important part of the work is to leverage Genzyme’s image to be a preferred partner in the rare disease therapeutic area. This can be done by using existing resources efficiently e.g. Genzyme employees capabilities and technical resources. Activities require a coordinated, cross functional approach with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access and Business Operations.

§ Previous experience in Product management/Brand management
§ Post Graduate qualifications in business or marketing
§ Master’s degree is a plus
§ Medical background i.e. Nurse or pharmacist
