The position – Market Manager Analytical Europe

Biotage’s Market Manager Analytical is responsible for ensuring that Biotage is in the forefront working on top notch marketing programmes and campaigns specifically aimed at the European market, defining and implementing marketing strategy and tactics and by this drive the business success.

The Market Manager is responsible for developing the existing portfolio as well as launching new products to market and motivate and educate the team on the latest product and application developments to ensure that Europe achieves its financial and commercial goals.

The Market Manager has a leading role in in defining, arranging and planning relevant marketing projects and activities in the targeted channels and arenas. That includes a clear focus on developing and improving the standard of modern marketing for the Analytical business. Digital marketing is one important focus area where the Market Manager may invest time and resources over time.

The role includes an overall responsibility for all other major marketing activities and projects such as conferences and exhibitions in Europe as well as attending and representing the Analytical business in different internal and external situations.

The Analytical product portfolio sales is currently approximately 5 M Euros yearly in Europe with a strong growth potential. The Market Manager is responsible for the marketing budget.

The Market Manager reports to the Director Commercial Operations Europe (placed in Biotage HQ Uppsala) and is a member of the European Management team.

Preferred location for the Market Manager is at the Biotage site in Lund (probably living in Skåne or in the Copenhagen area). However there will be a flexible and dynamic job with the opportunity to work from different sites and home office when appropriate. The role includes some business travel in Europe on a regular basis.

Market Manager Analytical Europe profile
We are looking for a highly skilled international Market Manager with the ability to develop the strategic and operational marketing to grow the Analytical business in Europe.

Qualifications, experience and profile
· Academic degree
· Experience working in a commercial or marketing role in a science based company - preferable within Life Science, Labtech or Medtech
· Proven experience and high competence in marketing – preferable with a diverse geographic market responsibility
· Experience in sales
· Technical savvy and knowledge of how to best use digital marketing and digital media to be successful
· Knowledge of modern labtech/medtech technology is an advantage
· Comfortable working with modern computers and software systems
· Willingness to travel in Europeon a regular basis
· Clean driving license
· Good understanding and command of written and spoken English
· Second European language (German, French or Italian) would be an advantage
