Research activities are conducted from phase I to approval. Lines of research: Women's Health, Respiratory and Dermatology.

Business Unit Director Nordics TILLSATT

The role as Business Unit Director Nordics

The company is now hiring a highly driven Business Unit Director with a Nordic responsibility for strategic planning as well as business operations. You will lead and drive the development of the business in the whole region and manage the highly skilled sales and marketing team of 6 people. You will be in charge of negotiations with important accounts, e.g. pharmacy chains, as well as Key Opinion Leader management.

We are looking for a strong and engaged leader with the ability to create motivation, creativity, engagement and dedication for the team. The ideal candidate has successful experience from leadership of sales teams and launch of new products into the Nordic markets. The expected deliverables are business development and results beyond expectations. 

Key responsibilities

• Leads and steers the BU in the development and execution of the regional Nordic business plan and brand plans in line with commercial & selling strategy ensuring that targets are met
• Develops and deploys a BU growth strategy within the region in close collaboration with the European team and the local Nordic General Management
• Participates and provides input to business development discussion for expanding the Nordic product portfolio
• Provides strategic thinking and direction to organizational and brand topics
• Owns the P&L for the BU Nordic
• Leads the Sales and Marketing team to achieve the BU targets
• Creates a high engagement and high performance culture within the BU team through continuous feedback, appraisal and coaching
• Drives accountability, effective decision-making and empowerment to the lowest level possible
• Drives continuous improvements in sales force effectiveness
• Develops and implements appropriate tracking methods of efficiency and results, monitors own and team’s productivity and achievements accordingly
• Implementation of sales tactics and continuous tuning thereof (regular co-rides)
• Develops partnerships with relevant external stakeholders, building and maintaining a strong visibility in this network to achieve significant competitive advantage
• Owns the coordination and key contact with KOLs and any key accounts as relevant
• Shares proven success models and best practices within the region
• Owns and supports projects and business initiatives across the entire organization
• Liases with group for most efficient use of assets/strengths/portfolio maximizing growth

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 10+ years relevant work experience
• Academic background in business or science (MBA or equivalent)
• Deep knowledge of the Nordic life science industry and Health Care Environment, experience in Women’s Healthcare is a plus
• Experienced people leader with track record in talent development
• Fluency in Swedish and English required (other Nordic language and Spanish is an advantage)

The position is Nordic, with travelling mainly in the Nordic area, some participation in internal meetings and international events. The position is based in Höllviken (Malmö).
