There are more than 300 clinical trials at major medical centers using compounds from Celgene. The Nordic Organisation
The Celgene Nordic team consist of approximately 100 employees with Nordic headquarters in Sweden (Kista outside Stockholm). There are also local Celgene offices in each Nordic country (localized in each capital). The Nordic organisation consist of a broad based mixture of functions and specialists such as Medical, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Corporate Affairs, QA, Clinical trials, Safety, Compliance, General management, Finance, HR and others. Some resources are shared within the Nordics and others are primarily local resources.

Celgene reinvest into local research in the Nordic. There are currently 45 ongoing Investor Initiated Trials (IIT) in the Nordic with nearly 2.000 patients enrolled in more than 100 sites. The Celgene Clinical Development Trials programme includes 34 Clinical trials with currently 308 patients enrolled in 149 sites. We have currently 21 Clinical Development trials in different phases that are in start-up, ongoing or in follow up phase. Since 2007 we have had 49 trials in the Nordic with 364 patients enrolled. Today we have 80 sites participating in our trails.


The Medical department Nordic
has about 30 employees with primary focus on Medical affairs, Drug safety, Clinical research, Clinical trials, Medical information and Real World data. This in selected, prioritized therapeutic areas; Oncology, Hematology and Inflammation & Immunology (I&I).
All the diversity and the overall specialist competencies in the organisation creates a solid environment for a fruitful collaboration, both in the Nordic as well as locally.

Celgene Finland has a good position and a positive development. The Finnish team consists of about 10 people specialized in Medical affairs, Market Access, Corporate affairs and Sales. The Finnish office is situated in Vantaa outside Helsinki. The Finnish team is highly skilled and experienced with a well established cross functional collaboration.

 

Regional Medical Liaison I and I Finland, Celgene

Key medical position to top priority therapeutic area

The position

Position: Regional Medical Liaison (RML) Inflammation and Immunology (I&I) Finland

Supervisor: Senior Manager Medical Affairs Rheumatology & Dermatology, Nordics

Department: Medical department

Location: Finland, preferably with daily access to the Celgene Finland office in Vantaa outside Helsinki. Frequent travelling to the Celgene Nordic headquarters in Stockholm (Kista) is included in the position.

The Regional Medical Liaison Finland (RML) is the local scientific expert who drives and executes medical and scientific communication and activities, including Investigator Initiated trials (IITs) in collaboration with external stakeholders and in line with the Celgene business strategy for the Rheumatology and Dermatology area. In addition, the RML develops and maintain relationships with key thought leaders (KTLs) and build an advocacy base among external specialists within the Rheumatology and Dermatology therapeutic areas.

Otezla® (apremilast)

Otezla is a novel pharmaceutical (introduced in the market 2015), belonging to a new class for the treatment indications Plaque Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. Experience, qualifications and competencies

Required experience, skills and qualifications

· Academic, scientific or medical degree, Pharm D, Msc and/or PhD in life sciences, or equivalent
- Experience from Medical Affairs or a similar position in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable
· Experience in dermatology, rheumatology, immunology, or other therapeutic area is an advantage

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Finnish. Knowledge in Swedish is an advantage.
· Advanced computer skills (MS office).
· Clean, valid drivers license
· Frequent travelling to customers in Finland, medical Congresses, internal meetings in the Nordic and Europe.
