About Oncology
Eisai has a pipeline of products in development for treating cancer and has a strong focus to establish a long-term position in the area of Oncology. The company is now 9 years into launching their first product in the area of Oncology and has two products on the market; Halaven™ (eribulin) is a first-in-class treatment for advanced or metastatic breast cancer and Lenvima multi-targeted receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor for thyroid cancer, kidney cancer and hepatocellar Carcinoma. Eisai has a very interesting future pipeline in Oncology. Halaven and Lenvima are being explored in several other tumour areas as single agent therapy as well as in combination, including studies with PD1 inhibitor (combination studies for several indications in collaboration with Merck & Co/MSD. We are looking for an experienced professional with a successful performance in a scientific communication role/medical affairs role in the area of Oncology.

Main purpose of the job

• As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will act on behalf of the medical affairs department, establishing professional relationships with various stakeholders within the area of oncology.
• You will engage in the exchange of scientific data and sharing clinical information on a peer-to-peer basis. You are responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and education to health care customers and to internal business partners as required by business needs.
• Your scientific qualifications will enable you to establish solid relationships among national and Nordic stakeholders.

The position reports to the Medical Manager Oncology Nordics.

Experience and qualifications required
We are looking for an experienced professional with a successful performance in a scientific communication role, preferably in the area of Oncology.

Required skills:
• Well developed social- and relationship building ability
• High level of planning and organisational skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet departmental and organisational needs.
• Good understanding of local ethical codes and legal requirements in Finland
• Experience of presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
• Awareness of commercial processes at local country level – with a proven ability to critic and influence content of commercial material.
• High level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently and as part of an integrated matrix organisation.
• Strong critical and independent thinking with effective team working skills.
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Project).

Language skills:
Fluent in English and Finnish. Good understanding and ability to communicate in other Nordic countries.

Education:
Scientific background, preferable within the area of oncology. Bachelor degree in pharmacy, pharmacology or bio-medical sciences, PhD degree is advantageous.
